Step-On City Tour (Motorcoach, Bus, or Trolley)
$125 per guide
An LCHS guide will step on your motorcoach, bus, or trolley to provide a 1.5-hour narrated tour of La Crosse. Tours begin and end at Explore La Crosse, 123 7th Street South, La Crosse.
A non-refundable $30 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance of $95 is due in full on the day of the tour.
Please note: LCHS provides the step-on guide only; transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the group.
Rates are subject to change for additional stops, extended time, or other itinerary alterations.
Student Field Trips
La Crosse Area Heritage Center, 506 Main Street, La Crosse
The Heritage Center is a self-guided museum. A guide can be provided for $25.
$3/student, $5/adult
Historic Hixon House, 429 7th Street North, La Crosse
Guided tours only of Hixon House. Tours are led by knowledgeable docents.
$5/student, $10/adult
Both Museums in One Day
$7/student, $12/adult
Chaperones pay the adult admission rate.
Payment in full is required within one week following the visit.
Specialized student field trips with hands-on activities are available upon request; pricing varies based on program and group needs.
Scheduled Group Admissions
Scheduled group visits require a minimum of 15 participants.
A $25 fee applies for opening a museum outside of standard operating hours.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the estimated total cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full on the day of the visit.
One bus driver and one tour guide per bus receive complimentary admission.

The Heritage Center is a self-guided museum. A guide can be provided for a 45-minute tour for $50.
Historic Hixon House, 429 7th Street North, La Crosse
$10/adult, $5/student
Guided tours are provided by knowledgeable docents.

We have hosted a wide variety of events, including lectures, drawing groups, weddings, parties, and other special gatherings.
Events outside of standard tours require a $100 set-up and cleaning fee.
